Evergreen Infrastructure at the Singapore Green Thumbs Landscape Conference 2023

Evergreen Infrastructure’s Director, Michael Casey, was invited to Singapore to speak at the annual Landscape Industry Association of Singapore (LIAS) conference. He discussed the importance of designing green infrastructure projects with maintenance in mind and the significance of designing for biodiversity.

Educating the Professional Sector

These two topics, extremely important in today's world, help further educate the professional sector about processes and guidelines, presenting best practices carried out by our firm on recent projects in Australia.

Partnering with Industry Events

The presentation also partnered with industry events, such as a significant tree planting day, to further the goals of the One Million Tree movement launched by National Parks Singapore. The event involved delegates from the Institute of Technical Education Singapore, National Parks Singapore, Australian Institute of Horticulture, and the Landscape Industry Association of Singapore, along with senior government ministers like Mr. Desmond Lee, the Minister for National Development.

Signing of the MOU

Finally, the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Australian Institute of Horticulture (AIH) and the Landscape Industry Association of Singapore (LIAS) took place. Signatories included Michael Casey (Immediate Past President – AIH), Alan Burnell (current President AIH), Jeverss Choo (1st Vice President LIAS), and Mr. Goh Eng Lam (President LIAS).
